Bar Magenta was opened over 100 years ago and is still one of Milan’s most historic and iconic cafes. If you want a real Milanese morning experience, don’t sit down, stand at the bar and drink your coffee. You’ll be surrounded by Milanese professionals knocking back espressos and rushing off to work. You may get elbowed or prodded by a Prada bag or two and like in many large cities around the world, nobody will pay much attention to you, but you’ll feel like one of the crowd!
It’s a perfect stop before or after visiting the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci which is nearby.
